Study the operation of systems, select major components to meet functional and operational
requirements, and determine the optimum location and arrangement from an engineering, manufacturing, and service standpoint.
• Build finite element models and/or statistical energy analysis models for use in dynamic simulations • Perform random vibration analysis • Perform acoustic analysis • Generate dynamics test requirements, as well as, the overall qualification and acceptance test approach for avionics components and secondary structures • Execute dynamic testing (vibration and acoustic) from start-to-finish (pre-test analysis, sensor selection & installation, testing, data analysis, model correlation and report generation) • Analyze acceleration and pressure time history data from engine firings, tests, and flights for use in vibro-acoustic analyses • Provide dynamic design guidelines and requirements to mechanical designers in early phases of hardware development The candidate will be responsible for developing environments such as random vibration, shock, and acoustics that simulate launch vehicle operations.
Must be willing to work with and mentor junior analysts. Candidate will perform analyses using appropriate classical and computer aided techniques and prepare results for oral presentations and written reports. Requirements Demonstrated experience with environmental shock and vibration testing, procedures, and defining requirements.
Specific experience with military or aerospace programs in accordance with MIL-STD-1540 or MIL-STD-810 is desirable and familiarity with SMC-S-016 is a plus. Test data reduction experience including spectral analysis (SRS and PSD) and filtering is required. Previous experience evaluating launch vehicle flight data is preferred. Candidate must be able to perform fundamental shock and vibration analyses to define levels for launch vehicle components. Excellent writing and communication skills are required.
Must be able to peer review written analyses for accuracy. Proficiency with MS office and Mat Lab highly desirable. U. S. citizenship is required. Education/Certifications: A Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Chemistry, Engineering, Math, Physics. MSME, MSAE preferred. Minimum of ten years experience in aerospace or related field. This entails the review of all discrepant hardware discovered during source inspection, receiving inspection and subsequent assembly into launch systems and their testing, determining the company's exposure to like discrepancies which includes leading investigations, collecting supporting documentation, identifying sources of supply, devising suspect material containment plans, creating corrective and preventative action plans, and working with technical teams for final resolution within a timeline goal.

multiple products used in the control of our launch vehicles. Job Duties: Based on program and department objectives, work with Program Managers and Lead Electrical Engineers to support day-to-day test activities by maintaining ownership of our automated Test Set Equipment (TSE).
Act as a technical lead, technical contributor, or technical consultant on various projects. Focus attention on the career development needs of the team members. The TSE team provides test support for both hardware and software solutions for a wide range of avionics electronic assembly products. Depending on program phase, this could range from development and build of new automated test sets and their associated
