Northrop Grumman Space Systems is currently seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Manager to join our Avionics Design Group in our Chandler, AZ facility. Our Avionics Design Group supports our programs with the design, test, and sustainment of

multiple products used in the control of our launch vehicles. Job Duties: Based on program and department objectives, work with Program Managers and Lead Electrical Engineers to support day-to-day test activities by maintaining ownership of our automated Test Set Equipment (TSE).

Act as a technical lead, technical contributor, or technical consultant on various projects. Focus attention on the career development needs of the team members. The TSE team provides test support for both hardware and software solutions for a wide range of avionics electronic assembly products. Depending on program phase, this could range from development and build of new automated test sets and their associated

scripts, to maintenance and upgrades of heritage test equipment.

Job responsibilities: Understanding and application of company electrical engineering technical standards. Strong technical expertise and working knowledge of other related disciplines. Ensures standard processes, procedures and command media are followed; including Safety, 5S, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Control, Electrostatic Discharge Control (ESD) control, Tool Control, among others. Provides formal peer review of engineering designs or analyses. Solicits process improvement ideas from the team and leads driving those efforts to realization. Work with program managers and engineering leads to ensure the right people, processes, and tools are in place to meet the business needs.

Work with the electrical engineering leads to help oversee the supervision of engineering activity and work products, workload management, and the performance management process. Provide regular status of test asset availability to upper management. Function as a key contributor, managing assigned responsibilities and directing the work of the leads and engineers to accomplish business goals. Plan manpower requirements as well as conduct annual performance reviews of staff. Oversee hiring, transfer and departure of employees and/or contract workers to meet program demands.

Identify, manage, and grow the critical skills development process for the engineering team. Motivates team; actively, effectively participates and contributes in a positive manner. Train and mentor early career engineers in Electrical Engineering and test standards. Work with the engineering team to identify causes of problems and develop solutions. Act with safety as your number one priority through every aspect of the role. Desired Experience: Experience as technical manager, lead, or similar leadership role with mentoring, team building, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Experience with the design and test of automated test sets and their associated scripts. Release of engineering documentation including technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures. (Team Center) Experience with software release through Atlassian Product Suite: Jira, Bitbucket Circuit design and analysis. Basic Qualifications: Requires 5 years with a bachelor's in engineering or 3 years with a master's in engineering. Strong leadership, influence, and people management skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to effectively communicate to all levels of employees, management, and customers.

Experience managing people preferred. U. S. Citizenship is required. Salary Range: $106,400 - $159,600The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
