PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED Job Summary: The Loads Engineer specializes in vehicle flight / ground loads in support of an advanced development program and is responsible for developing loads for miscellaneous conditions including canopy, door, pressurization, engine mount, external store, tie-down/mooring, and aerial refueling.

In addition, the successful candidate should be proactive, forward-thinking, able to work with a small team to rapid resolution of complex technical loads problems and can convey complex technical problems diplomatically and professionally to both other engineering disciplines and leadership. will be able to work well in a team environment and form connections across the myriad of disciplines such as flight controls, mass properties, stress, and mechanism teams.
The ideal candidate would have experience working in the advanced development world and would understand the depth of analysis this environment requires. Responsibilities may include: Informing design decisions from the loads perspective Presenting key technical information to other engineering disciplines and management in diplomatic and professional approach. Perform loads analysis for nominal, parametric, and failure conditions. Know and understand relevant MIL-STDs. Collaborate across key disciplines to develop data needed for analyses listed above. Although a driver’s license is not required, applicants with a driver’s license must provide a certified copy of motor vehicle driving record from the chief of the state driver’s licensing agency in which the applicant was last issued a license and any license(s) issued or reissued from other state(s) within the preceding 60 months. Motor vehicle records must be void of any drug and alcohol violations within the previous 36 months. 2.
