Continually refine and optimize infrastructure, considering both current needs and future growth, to ensure that resources are used efficiently.
Work closely with other engineering and operations teams to understand requirements and ensure that infrastructure aligns with application needs and organizational objectives. Create and maintain clear, concise documentation related to automation procedures, system configurations, and best practices for Ia C. Implement testing strategies for automation
deployments, ensuring robustness, and reliability in production environments. Monitor infrastructure and respond to any issues or outages, determining root causes and implementing solutions swiftly.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in Ia C, Ansible, and other relevant technologies to keep the organization's systems at the forefront of technological advancements. Ensure that all automation and infrastructure provisioning adhere to best security practices, incorporating security measures at every layer of deployment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze system performance and user growth to predict infrastructure needs. Make recommendations for scaling resources appropriately.
Provide training sessions to junior team members and relevant stakeholders, ensuring that the broader team understands and can utilize the automation tools efficiently.
Research new technologies and methodologies in automation and Ia C. Test and propose the adoption of tools that could benefit the organization. Engage with external vendors, understand the offerings in the market, and align external tools with internal requirements. Regularly update stakeholders about system changes, outages, and upgrades. Provide detailed technical explanations when needed. Streamline existing workflows and processes to improve efficiency and reduce the chance of human error.
Ensure that all automated systems have backup mechanisms in place. Design and test disaster recovery plans. Regularly review and refine code, making sure it adheres to industry best practices. Ensure peer reviews are conducted for robustness and accuracy. Oversee changes in infrastructure, ensuring that there's a rollback plan in place for every change. Handle versioning of Ia C scripts and manage releases. Monitor the costs associated with infrastructure provisioning and management. Make recommendations for cost-saving or cost-effective measures. Ensure that all automated deployments and configurations adhere to industry regulations and internal policies.
Regularly review systems for compliance. Integrate Ansible with other tools in the Dev Ops pipeline, such as CI/CD tools, monitoring tools, and logging solutions. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for automation tasks. Regularly track and report on these metrics to backss the impact of automation on the organization. Establish a system for receiving feedback on automated processes. Use this feedback for continuous improvement. Ensure consistency across various environments, such as development, testing, staging, and production.
