Day-to-Day Responsibilities for Engineer I: in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks; receives close supervision

on new aspects of non-routine assignments; using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer; may have minor responsibility for training and orientation; may schedule/coordinate projects with supervision and review; under the oversight of other engineers, prepare engineering analyses, write specifications and reports as directed.

Develop standard designs and drawings as assigned for approval by others. Assist in the design and construction of the company’s larger volume gas facilities, to include: gas flow/process development, equipment specifications and RFQ, Material specifications and RFQ, Cost estimation, creation of

design and construction drawings, oversight of permit acquisitions, coordination with other engineering disciplines or outside engineering firms, preconstruction planning and scheduling, recommend selection of contractors based on bids, coordination with contractors , construction inspection, completion of post project documentation and transmittals, receiving materials and services in SAP and invoice payments.

Under supervision, provide Synergee modeling results to Local/Territory operations and Fuels Management staff. Under guidance from Senior Engineer or Manager, support Local/Territory operations on engineering specific issues as needed. Travel throughout the Company’s service area to provide support as needed.

Performs additional related duties as assigned by Manager, including gathering information and providing feedback and updates to department management on engineering and operations issues, and updates on pipeline supplier issues. What We’re Looking For Must Haves for Engineer I: Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET accredited college/university Minimum of 18 months of related experience as an Engineer, or 12 months of experience as an Engineer with a FE Strong organizational and project management skills, good written and oral communications skills, knowledge of engineering procedures, ability to read and understand plans and alignment sheets, ability to problem solve and to analyze problems logically, good judgment, must be willing to perform in emergency situations.

Nice-to-Haves for Engineer I: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering Passed the Fundamental of Engineering (FE) exam Minimum of six months of related work experience in the natural gas industry; Experience in Auto CAD and/or Microstation Open to considering to an Engineer II Competencies for Both Levels: Takes Ownership and Acts with Integrity Drives Operational Excellence for Customers Cultivates Innovation and Embraces Change Thinks Strategically and Exercises Sound Judgement Speaks up on Safety, Health, and the Environment Working Conditions for Both Levels: Overtime work as needed.
