Job Summary: Akima is seeking a dynamic professional to join our Corporate Development Team as the GWAC/IDIQ Program Management Office Senior Director. In this strategic role, you will be instrumental in optimizing task order business processes, managing associated tools, and facilitating collaboration across Akima and all it’s subsidiaries. The primary focus of this role will be driving strategic IDIQ/GWAC pursuits, tracking existing contracts, and fostering relationships with government contract
management offices and industry partners. Job Responsibilities: Ensures continuous alignment of Akima’s Category Management Multiple Award Contract (MAC) strategy roadmap with overarching organizational goals and priorities.
Regularly backss and adjust the roadmap to reflect evolving business objectives, market dynamics, and government regulations. Completes periodic competitive backssments on all MAC/GWAC/IDIQ PMO-managed vehicles to identify trends, vulnerabilities, and opportunities. Advises senior management in setting the strategic direction for maximum benefit from key contracts, including OASIS, OASIS , GSA ASTRO, Sea Port NXG, GSA MAS, SEWP VI, ITES 3S, ITES 4S and RS3.
Provides subject matter expertise and consultative support to company stakeholders in their pursuit of Agency-level multiple-award IDIQs, drawing on insights and best practices gained from GWAC experience Operates as designated GWAC/IDIQ Program Manager on select contract vehicles Attends industry meetings, Program Management Review Meetings (PMR), conferences, and trainings to enhance knowledge of Government Procurement processes. Coordinates with Program Managers to backss completion of current IDIQ/GWAC task orders, understanding overall schedule and deliverables, and ensures current projects are achieving desired outcomes and meeting all contractual requirements.
Oversees all IDIQ/GWAC requirements Supports a robust pipeline of opportunities across Company's suite of IDIQs and GWACs. Develops and nurtures effective relationships with government IDIQ/GWAC contract management offices and industry partners to drive growth across our suite of vehicles. Oversees the adjudication, backssment, and distribution of task order RFIs and RFPs to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with business development leads and operational stakeholders to provide recommendations for GWAC/IDIQ contract-related business-winning decisions.
Collaborates with Contracts and SBA Compliance teams to address any statutory or regulatory concerns that may affect our IDIQ/GWAC strategy. Leads Company GWAC/IDIQ strategy development and major pursuits. Reviews complex IDIQ/GWAC solicitations and contributes to proposal strategy sessions, risk backssments, and proposal submissions. Provides all capture functions for at least one strategic IDIQ/GWAC pursuit a year. Stays informed about Group-managed Agency-level multiple-award IDIQs Tracks IDIQ and task order metrics and ensures timely communication with internal and external stakeholders with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of leadership and management experience in business development and IDIQ fulfillment. Previous success in winning new business in support of IDIQ master contracts and task orders. Proven ability to develop and execute capture activities for strategic IDIQ or GWAC pursuits. Strong collaboration and communication skills to build high-performance teams and drive successful business outcomes. Familiarity with US Government contracting, contract types, and procurement processes, specifically for GSA, Army, Navy, NITAAC, and NASA.
