This solutions architect will be joining Akima’s Emerging Markets Group (EMG) as part of their Integrated Solutions Group and will lead or support key initiatives to assist EMG to identify opportunities and craft solutions that will maximize value of solution offerings. Ideal candidates must possess experience leading and facilitating cybersecurity capability development, implementation, and advancement. Responsibilities: Serve as a main solutions developer and technical advisor for Cybersecurity services and solutions for EMG. Directly support EMG contracts across its operating companies in solving our clients’ complex cybersecurity problems.
In this role, the SME will provide hands-on support in cybersecurity solutioning (e. g. security architecture, tools analysis/engineering, security operations, etc. ) within the Department of Defense and Federal Civilian agencies. Execute and/or facilitate solutions development efforts to support growth activities within EMG to drive innovation and new solutions that lead to higher efficiency and effectiveness of the cybersecurity services provided by EMG. Assist the business group’s human capital development and training initiatives to strengthen technical skills and knowledge in cybersecurity. Research and understand recent/new cybersecurity policies, executive orders and legislation; technologies; and trends that apply to customer environments and EMG markets, including key threats, risks, issues, and needs at the national level. Develop partnerships with and maintain necessary requirements for certifications with core and strategic technology partners. Support the review of business opportunities and potential investments and make recommendations as related to the group strategy and initiatives.
Support other corporate initiatives and projects as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in developing and delivering cybersecurity solutions and services to the Federal Government, to include 3 or more years in a leadership or management capacity. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Master’s degree preferred). Strong written and verbal communications skills in the English language with experience briefing senior technical and executive leadership.
Must be able to demonstrate writing skills through providing writing samples or other means as requested. Active Do D Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance and maintain required clearance level during employment.
