The Senior Scientist is an individual contributor role and will be a crucial member of an Asset team that is collectively responsible for delivering strategic plans and implementing projects. The Senior Scientist reports to the Asset Lead, Oncology Outcomes Research , and will be responsible for leading the execution of health outcomes and real-world strategies and studies on a global and US market level. This role is also responsible
for working with key internal collaborators supporting the execution and communication of studies.
This position requires an individual with scientific knowledge of HEOR and its application throughout development process, business insight, and interpersonal skills. What You'll Do: Responsible for the execution of the Asset strategy for the Oncology Outcomes Research team, and other activities to backss, quantify and communicate the value proposition for the asset. Responsible for specific Global and US Regional health outcomes strategy. Conduct outstanding quality research that is medically relevant, scientifically valid, and aligned with the evidence generation and communication needs.
Will support asset leads and work with outcomes researchers with diverse technical skills. Present research findings at scientific congresses and participate in the development and writing of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Translate output from research into tools and resources for field teams. Manage relationships and budgets with vendors to ensure timely completion of high quality, projects. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the disease state, market & customer dynamics, the competitive landscape, and reimbursement issues Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year experience, preferably in the medical industry, graduate degree strongly preferred (Ph D, MS, MPH) in health economics, epidemiology, outcomes research and/or related fields.
Understanding and knowledge and application of epidemiological/health outcomes methodology within medical industry at an international level. Demonstrated proficiency with various modes of chromatography, including affinity, IEX, mixed mode, HIC, and SEC. Deep and current knowledge of resigns, membranes and suppliers. Extensive hands-on experience with chromatography instrumentation (AKTA-Pure, AKTA-Avant, Am Mag) including ability to develop custom methods and troubleshoot. Experience with automation is preferred. Strong protein characterization and QC skills including analytical SEC, CE-SDS, endotoxin assays, etc. Familiarity with molecular biology techniques, including primer design, gene assembly, Gibson and Golden gate cloning, vector assembly, transfection, and software for sequence analysis.
Experience interacting with CMC groups and understanding development upstream and downstream processes, including ultrafiltration, viral clearance, etc. is highly desired.
