Qualifications No minimum education requirements. Knowledge of Grounds Maintenance Tools; Must demonstrate the proficient use the following tools: backpack blower, hedge trimmer and line trimmer.
Ability to remember and follow verbal directions. Able to understand written or oral equipment operation procedures. Able to read and interpret written or oral equipment operation procedures in English. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers and management; Ability to work as part of a team. Perform effectively in environments with frequent workload changes and competing demands. Ability to perform repetitive work according to set procedures.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out basic written or oral instructions. Ability to think through the consequences of a decision prior to making it. Ability to recognize an emergency situation and take appropriate action. Requirements Must be able to meet and maintain requirements to obtain entrance onto Vandenberg Space Force Base. Valid driver’s license with an insurable record. An insured vehicle available for use during employment. Must be willing and able to work up to 8 hours per shift. Must be able to work in varying weather conditions, shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
