MISSION / SUMMARY: The Mill Division Mechanical Engineering Manager, will be responsible for providing Engineering Project Leadership, and technical and machine troubleshooting support, for 14 paper machines at 8 locations across the US and Canada. They will also be responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems. The candidate must have expert knowledge in developing all facets of engineering, capital requests, procuring equipment and services, leading installation of new equipment, managing vendors and contractors, and paper mill process trouble shooting.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following. Lead and manage engineers and contractors. Develop capital requests, RFP’s, bids, and recommend vendors. Hire vendors. Manage construction and quality control of new projects. Demonstrates organizational agility by being able to find solutions through teamwork.
