Operations Consultant I (GOC I) on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Overdose Data to Action: Limiting Overdose through Collaborative Actions in Localities (OD2A) grant at the Florida Department of Health in Duval County.
This position supports administrative functions of the grant including, purchasing, scheduling, and coordination of meetings, and assisting with grant reporting.
Works collaboratively with OD2A staff to prepare reports and other documents to the CDC, including the OD2A work plan, budget narrative, evaluation plan, annual progress report, and technical review response: Assists with collection of data from community partners for grant reporting
purposes. Summarizes key accomplishments, challenges, and barriers experienced for inclusion in reports to the CDC. Works with internal and external stakeholders to draft reports summarizing grant activities.
Proofreads reports and ensures information is reported accurately, concisely, and cohesively. Enters information for reports into the CDC's Partner's Portal. Provides administrative support to the OD2A program: Submits purchase orders in My Florida Markey Place following established policies and procedures. Assists with coordination of special projects. Coordinates calendars and assists in managing functions of the project. Composes, types, and edits correspondence, memos, reports,
forms, and other materials. Coordinates meetings including space, time, and developing meeting materials.
Records and distributes minutes and meetings. Completes IT requests, work orders, and travel requests using established policies and procedures. Attends in-service, seminars, workshops, and other meetings related to the OD2A grant. Complete all mandatory training within required deadlines. Request any leave time with the OD2A project manager. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of department's policies and procedures. Knowledge of customer service principles Knowledge of administrative and office principles, procedures, and practices.
Skills related to prioritizing work to meet strict deadlines. Skills related to the proficient use of computer software applications, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point. Ability to perform a range of routine administrative functions.
