Policy Intern (and other 904WARD staff if required) for a minimum of three sessions to craft a voter education and engagement strategic plan; Draft a strategic plan for the organization to increase voter registration and participation, including community/census tract/ZIP code designation, marketing messages, social media and website strategy, event structures, partnership designations and design, and engagement strategies; Meet with the CEO, Community Equity and Policy Manager, Policy Intern, and the Director of Equity (and other 904WARD staff if required) for at least two sessions to determine priorities and needed components for a five-year organizational strategic advocacy plan; and Draft
a strategic plan for the organization to determine policy priorities, strategic approaches, and methods for increasing awareness or engagement around the priority issues for 904WARD.
Have extensive knowledge of the political landscape in Florida and have experience in developing political engagement at the state and local level; Have demonstrated experience in community organizing and voter education and engagement; Have the ability to design multi-level strategic plans that take disparate perspectives to plans with a unified focus; Have experience in asking probing questions to stimulate creative thinking and problem solving, identifying gaps and challenges, and push back on ideas presented
as needed; and Possess superior technology skills, demonstrating the knowledge of various software and application platforms used for shared project management, communication, data tracking, and financial reporting.
