Enter and operate in aircraft danger zones to safety aircraft by pinning gears, weapon systems, and other ordinances while aircraft is running. Perform emergency and manual shutdown of aircraft. Maintain familiarity with all assigned aircraft and structures and proficient in firefighting ad rescue techniques for same.
Must also be familiar with entire airfield and all Jacksonville International Airport facilities. Perform aircraft, airfield, and structural firefighting operational standbys. Respond to structural emergency alarms. Perform initial response and investigation as a minimum. Conduct building search and rescue operations. Perform forcible entry as situation dictates.
