General Information: The Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design Program in the Department of Human Ecology at the University of California, Davis, offers approximately 35 courses annually. The Landscape Architecture program includes approximately 70 undergraduate upper-division Landscape Architecture (LDA) majors who are admitted via a highly competitive review process and another 100 undergraduate Pre-Landscape Architecture majors.
Additionally there are nearly 200 Sustainable Environmental Design (SED) majors. Seven individuals who comprise the permanent faculty teach 40% of the undergraduate courses. Lecturers teach 60% of the courses. Lecturers are selected to fill specialized positions that require their professional as well as academic expertise. In any given year, open positions and requirements for individuals to fill them will vary according to permanent faculty teaching assignments.
Positions may be full-time or part-time, depending on schedules and expertise.
