Project Interior Designer to join our Interiors team in our Sacramento office. As the Project Interior Designer, you will… Oversee the development of BIM/Revit design and documentation of drawings. Manage the team with a supportive understanding of the value of design.
Oversee the team's production and coordination of construction documents, including consultant coordination, and manage the client's goals, budget, and schedule.
Develop designs with an understanding of the impact of building codes, agency, and jurisdictional requirements, and provide training to less experienced staff. Maintain the budget and schedule throughout the construction administration phase. Oversee and coordinate project activities with clients, consultants, contractors, and staff. Oversee furniture selection and specifications, ensuring compliance with client standards and code requirements, and provide training to others. Participate in all phases of the design and project
documentation process, and be able to manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
Demonstrate consistent time management skills, complete tasks accurately and on schedule, and mentor less experienced staff in time management. Assist project leaders in the preparation of project management plans and adhere to these plans. Acquire work through the development of client trust, relationships, and a reputation for consistent project management. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach. Coache less experienced staff in organizational skills. Ensure adherence to The Lionakis Way standards for design, quality control, and production related to project management, and contribute to further development of these standards.
Advise project leaders on client and consultant requested changes to the scope of work, determine the impact on the project budget and schedule, and excel in scope management from proposal through closeout. Review and evaluate documents for accuracy with internal teams and external consultants in preparation for formal Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC). Delegate tasks to Interior Designers and provide coaching. Collaborate with project leaders to develop action plans related to project issues.
Assist with the development of and adherence to work plans, assist the Principal in Charge (PIC) with fee development, and monitor project financial status related to the scope. Participate in proposal content development. Participate in weekly studio staffing meetings to effectively meet staffing needs and deadlines. Project Interior Designer Qualifications – The Must-Haves (Required) Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years interior design experience; or an Associate's degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
Proficient with BIM/Revit Prior experience with Civic and/or Commercial projects Project Interior Designer Qualifications – The Like-to-Haves (Not Required) LEED accreditation Salary Range: $73,100 - $101,000 annually.
