required assembly, exterior finish on product, and any special options. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the particular run. Checks for designated carton pack. Contacts material handler if shortages exist or incorrect parts are in bins. Checks operating controls and safety stops on conveyor. Checks power and hand tools for correct operation. From experience, resolves assembly and packing problems. Reports other problems to line supervisor for assistance. At end of run, contacts material handler, clears stock bins and
flat cartons of unused items, and prepares for next run. Keeps count of completed product on each run and records and disposes of spoilage in designated manner.
Notifies supervisor of any major incidence of recurring equipment malfunction or poor-quality raw material or production. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. Additional duties as assigned by manager Requirements Experience in hand assembly on paced assembly line. Ability to operate hand tools. Must be able to work independently Candidate must be reliable. Regular attendance is required Excellent work ethic with the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements Full time position 1st shift: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:15 pm Must be willing to work overtime as required Requires frequent standing, walking and bending.
