Our pediatric team has more than 150 skilled pediatricians and pediatric specialists, including a full service hospitalist program who work with providers from around the region to provide high quality care to more than 100,000 pediatric patients annually.
Additionally, we have a Level IV NICU and a 13-bed PICU, the first in the state of Idaho. St. Luke's Children's Hospital is also developing a pediatric trauma program. Position Summary The St. Luke’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit serves infants and children through age 17 and is the most remote PICU in the country. Our pediatric population has a wide range of diagnoses
that may include respiratory issues, traumatic injuries; pediatric surgeries, neurological, endocrine, sepsis, gastrointestinal, renal, cardiac, and seizure disorders.
Our interdisciplinary team includes pediatric trained critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, pediatric intensivists, dietitians, social workers, occupational and physical therapists; child life specialists, pharmacists, chaplains and subspecialty physicians. We also provide sedations and procedures for children who are outpatient with a family centered care approach.
