Responsibilities: Thorough understanding of geometric design of highways and streets Comfortable taking a lead role in the design and development of Plans, Specifications and Estimates for transportation projects Experience with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (Penn DOT) and PA municipal clients Ability to develop plans from conceptual design to final horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, grading, drainage design, and utility relocations Understanding of construction as it relates to developing temporary traffic control and construction staging plans Qualifications: 4 plus years of highway engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities Provide civil engineering design for airfield/ site layout, grading, profiles, earthwork analyses and design, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design, pavement design and maintenance, construction safety and phasing, aircraft layouts and modeling, storm water management design, erosion and sediment control design, utility coordination and design, environmental permitting, and preparation of construction plans,
specifications, schedules, design reports, and cost estimates. Provide construction phase services including shop drawing review, responding to contractor questions, and construction inspection.
Complete designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematics, and final working drawings for preparation of construction plans related to airport development and rehabilitation projects. Prepare construction specifications for airport development projects per FAA Advisory Circular 150/5370-10 and State requirements. Organize and manage their workload and meet budget and schedule deadlines. Uses various computer software for design development and prepare plans in Civil 3D. Requirements
