Education/Experience BS in Telecommunications or equivalent work experience (8 years experience in telecommunications O&M, installation, and engineering) BICI RCDD certification desirable Experience reviewing and analyzing solicitation documents and developing solutions Experience with optical equipment, SONET and wavelength division multiplexing Knowledge of optical dispersion and experience with dispersion testing Knowledge of Lucent, Ciena/Nortel, Infinera and Cisco equipment desirable Ability to redline as-built drawings and update and create Engineering Design Packages (EDPs) Ability to present customer information on project status in various forms such as MS Power Point briefings and MS Project schedules Knowledge of telecommunications installations standards required Knowledge of telecommunications test equipment, operation, procedures, and practice Compensation Security Requirements US Citizenship required Must be able to obtain and/or maintain eligibility requirements for access to government classified information up to the Top Secret-SCI (applicants selected will be subjected to a government security investigation for initial clearance) Other Requirements Must have a valid driver’s license have a clean driving record Up to 75% travel may be required depending on project load Physical Requirements Field; sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; lift 75 lbs.
