Position Overview: Army Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) System and Navy Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Hypersonic Flight Test Engineers are needed to support continued
joint Army and Navy developmental testing and support Task Force Strike after transition to Program Executive Office (PEO) Missiles and Space (PEO M&S).
Job Responsibilities: Conduct test planning and management activities including overarching test design, soldier interface, interface with systems engineering, and development of test plans and schedules. Coordinate with all aspects of test resources including test venues, test assets and participants across the Department of Defense and Intelligence communities. Trace overarching test objectives to test asset specific collection requirements and document accordingly. Apply technical expertise to backss test range, test asset, and weapon system readiness for test execution.
Develop test execution documentation, support test training, and support on-site or remote on-console test execution. Strategic long-range planning Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in STEM-related field 10+ years of experience in flight test planning and execution that supports responsibilities as described above. Demonstrated ability to work independently from high-level guidance. Ability to plan, coordinate, and support product development in a rapidly changing environment. Exceptional communication skills. Desired Qualifications: Understanding of Hypersonic missile flight and associated test challenges Experience testing offensive or defensive weapon systems.
Travel: Up to 10% primarily for test execution. Remote test execution operations conducted from Huntsville, AL possible for some positions. Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance; ability to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
