The technician is responsible for the overall operating maintenance of the LVL machines and Safe Kiosks. The position is also responsible in a similar capacity for the Company’s Automated Teller Machines (ATM’s).
The position does support the Company’s office administration through the retrieval of the Gumby’s store deposits and delivery to the bank, delivery and pickup of interoffice mail and office/operating supplies. The position requires the technician to maintain a valid driver’s license at all times. TYPICAL SCHEDULE AND WORK LOCATION: This is a full-time position, hours of work and days are on a shift rotation. The LVL Technicians
rotate between the day shift and the afternoon/weekend shifts. The hours worked during each weekly shift will approximate 45 hours. Weekly shift hours worked in excess of 45 require approval in advance from your supervisor.
The day shift is typically Monday through Friday. The afternoon/weekend shift is typically Wednesday through Sunday night. Month end and Year end typically requires all technicians report to work. Overnight travel is limited to attending training/certification and/or classes/seminars. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent work experience. Experience with Microsoft Office software products, electronic mail
software, and internet browser software. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, and grammar.
Valid driver’s license. ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Certification from a trade or technical school or equivalent training. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Complete the “Machine Entry Authorization Log (MEAL book) in accordance with WV Lottery memorandum/policy, as applicable. Based upon the reconciliation of the funds, replenish the cash/coin in the safe kiosks and/or the Geno’s/LVL site’s petty cash to the predetermined levels. The predetermined levels vary by site. Perform a physical count of the cash and coin levels on hand to verify the existance of the funds.
In accordance with the reconciliation as calculated in the LVL spreadsheet, the site’s profit and state’s share amounts are to be delivered to the Corporate office for the preparation of the bank deposit. The Technician is required to use the money counter to verify the physical count of all funds when the funds are exchanged between the Technician, Safe Kiosk and/or Geno’s employee, as applicable. During each shift, respond to maintenance requests and requests for additional funds to cover jackpot payouts and/or provide the right mix of currency bills/coins in the Safe Kiosks.
Record the loan information in the Tablet. If the maintenance requests can’t be resolved, such as “clear chip resolution” or replacing a board, contact your supervisor to arrange for third party assistance. For each Company site assigned per shift and territory, load cash into the ATM’s and record the information into the LVL spreadsheet in the Tablet. During each shift respond to the ATM request forms to load cash and/or fix the maintenance issues. If unable to fix any maintenance errors, make arrangements with the third party support technician assigned to the Tritons or Genmegas.
During the Afternoon/Weekend shifts, only need to provide count outs (loans) to the Geno’s/LVL sites assigned per the shift and territory via replenishing the funds in the Safe Kiosk from the cash in the machines or “office safe fund”. This information is recorded in the Tablet and the Technician must comply with completing the MEAL Book in accordance with WV Lottery memorandum/policy. The Technician will keep adequate records of spare parts on hand and other operating supplies by type of LVL machine and provide their supervisor with advance notice of the type and quanity of parts to order.
On a regular predetermined basis, perform detail cleaning of the LVL machines and cleaning of the bill acceptors in the ATM’s/Safe Kiosks and replace/add receipt paper. The technician must balance and verify the “office safe fund” each time funds are added or removed. This safe fund is to be used for “loans” to cover jackpot pay-outs or to make appropriate change for the LVL sites. Retrieves the Gumby’s store deposits for a select group of stores and deliver the deposit bags to the bank. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to your supervisor and/or Human Resources.
Deliver and pick-up interoffice mail and office/operting supplies for the Geno’s and Gumby’s locations.
