Monitoring Dispatch Grid: Overnight Dispatcher is responsible for monitoring the nightly schedule and trip progress for our nighttime chauffeuring team, monitor incoming flights, along with wake up calls for early morning chauffeurs on morning trips and adjust trips/schedule to accommodate changes while ensuring clients vehicles arrive on time. Dispatchers are also responsible for monitoring trips the company has being serviced outside of Kansas City in other markets to
make sure service runs smoothly. This requires someone who is computer savvy with technology, dispatching systems, has strong attention to detail and multitasking skills who can work independently.
Reservations: During the overnight hours, all incoming calls feed into dispatch and the overnight dispatcher will be responsible for handling and entering any reservations client’s call in to request along with providing quotes as requested. Experience with reservation systems or the ability to quickly learn the technology is a must. Dispatchers spend one-two weeks in the Reservations Department, so we provide proper training. Emails/Inbox: The companies receive emails throughout the night with requests for transportation services along with other inquiries.
The Overnight Dispatcher will need to respond to these emails, so the person in this position needs to know proper grammar and how to professionally respond to clients and vendors. They will also need to know how to file emails properly and what needs to be forwarded to other Managers so items can be addressed when they come into the office the next day. At the end of each shift dispatchers need to compose a email dispatch report to provide to management and the dispatch team that summarizes their shift with pertinent information.
