A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: Inspect complex sources of air pollution. Gather necessary evidence to recommend appropriate enforcement action to address any noncompliance consistent with branch and office policies, guidance, and SOPs. Prepare technical inspection reports documenting observations, findings, and recommendations as a result of an inspection or investigation.
Draft inspection summary, violation, and enforcement action letters, as appropriate, and assist in negotiation and settlement of enforcement cases. Investigate air pollution complaints and emergencies. Review technical reports submitted by regulated entities and address noncompliance.
