Reporting to the Genesis Product Engineering Manager, this role requires fluency in Auto CAD 2D, Inventor or Solid Works 3D modeling and CNC tool-path software (Vcarve, Moto Sim, and Zund).
The ability to manage a team and complete multiple projects, meeting deadlines with accuracy and efficiency is required. Responsibilities Manage a team of 3 or more engineers in 2 locations Develop skillset of team through mentorship and training Develop and maintain procedures and processes that support the Product Team Ensure quality of departmental output Design and development
of new and current products, including tooling and programming Creation of complex CAD models and detailed drawings Coordinates prototype and production sample builds Provides support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated to customer expectations and all applicable standards are met.
Evaluate proposed engineering changes for impact and feasibility on the product and process prior to incorporation Cross functional team interactions, both internal and external Successful completion of PPAP process Programming 2D (3-axis) and 3D (6-axis) waterjets, as well as 2D (3 axis) routers. Supply information for product quotes, coordinate with vendors to complete projects Occasional travel to customers and vendors required.
