The $1.7B ERT Rehabilitation Project will be a complete tear down and rebuild of the rail, power, communications and signal, bench wall and mechanical fire/life/safety systems. The successful candidate will execute all aspects of construction project management for the ERT construction project including monitoring of third party contractor’s and Amtrak force account, work with construction management consultants and coordinate with Amtrak departments such as Transportation, B&B, Signals and
ET. The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager to provide support in delivering this critical project to provide improved system safety and security, state of good repair, and enhanced customer experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Work with and monitor contractor, construction management consultant, and force account to ensure the project is executed in accordance to agreed upon scope, costs, and schedule. • Assist and/or lead on coordinating and assuring adherence to Site Specific Safety Work Plans with contractors and Amtrak personnel. • Work with the Program/Project Manager, review potential change requests from the field and, if appropriate, assist in preparing potential change notice with appropriate justification for submission to PM.

Job Duties: Help on the overall maintenance of all Mercy Haven properties Assist in the preparation of apartments for new/relocated residents and home improvement work Maintenance tasks include, but not limited to: carpentry, plumbing and light electrical,
roof repairs, spackling, painting, striping/waxing floors Prepare apartments for move-ins Cleaning/garbage removal as required Conduct building inspections as scheduled by the Director of Facilities Management Perform general outside maintenance (up to two stories high) Moving of furniture, appliances, and supplies (heavy lifting involved) Occasional landscaping and sealing driveways Assist maintenance personnel in all maintenance repairs and construction for Mercy Haven properties Power washing/landscaping building and grounds inspections and cleanups Perform preventative maintenance Work in electronic maintenance management work order system Power Washing Ground Inspections and clean up Assume

g. consistently demonstrate a positive attitude, remain open and adaptable to change, do what you say you will do and focus on productivity not activity ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist the Director of Facilities in ensuring Coarc's buildings, grounds and equipment are safe and in proper working order. Develop and design solutions for simple to complex problems. Work safely and promote safety in other department members
at all times. Perform all duties in a manner that is productive, positive, cooperative, flexible, and promotes the goals of the department and agency. Act as a coach for other department members to improve their skills and the overall performance of the department.
Orient, train, counsel and evaluate the performance of assigned staff to assure efficient and effective performance of employees. Act as the supervisor in charge of the maintenance department when the Director of Facilities is absent and be the back up to the on-call person when the Director of Facilities is not available. Perform routine inspection, maintenance, repairs, modifications, or upgrades as directed on any and all
of the following systems or components: Plumbing equipment, including but not limited to: water supply piping, drain piping, unplugging lines, changing or repairing pumps, valves, fittings, and fixtures.
Heating and cooling equipment including, but not limited to: furnaces, boilers, steam traps, air conditioners, thermostats, and support equipment. Electrical equipment, including but not limited to: wires, switches, fixtures and other controls, phone and cable systems. Carpentry items, including but not limited to: installing or building walls and shelves, repairing or installing doors and windows, installing or replacing trim, fixing or putting together furniture, and installing or repairing locks.
Patching and Painting finish surfaces. Repairs to appliances including, but not limited to: washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, sump pumps, de-humidifiers. General maintenance items such as changing air filters, cleaning gutters, changing batteries, Maintain safe access to Coarc sites by ensuring that walkways, driveways, parking lots, and entrances are clear of snow, ice, and are accessible during inclement weather as needed. Perform grounds keeping duties such as tree trimming, grass cutting, weeding, and raking as needed. Assist as necessary in the construction or modification of floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, or other projects.
Act as a resource to other department members for on-calls (emergency service calls after normal scheduled work hours and/or weekends) as needed. Cover on-call shifts as needed, including alarm calls, snow removal, and any other emergency issues as needed. Read and interpret drawings, manuals, and schematics for buildings and equipment as needed. Maintain records as directed to document time, work activities, materials, parts, tools or equipment. Conduct inspections of sites as assigned. Participate in in-house and external trainings as required or deemed necessary by the Director of Facilities.
Supervise, guide and instruct people receiving employment supports from Coarc. Assist with moving and clean up as directed. Escort and work with outside contractors and vendors at Coarc sites. Maintain a valid driver's license. REQUIREMENTS : Valid Driver's license Have or be able to acquire within two years: Grade 1 wastewater Treatment Plant Operator license Grade C Distribution System Water System Operator EPA 608 Certification for refrigerants Forklift operator certification Associate's degree (AAS) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Facilities Management, Construction Technology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred with two years' experience in a maintenance department, with at least one of those years in a supervisory role or a High School Diploma/TASC (formerly known as a GED) with five years of uninterrupted work experience in facilities maintenance or related field with at least one year of those years in a supervisory role; must have the ability to demonstrate specialized skills and/or experience in the following fields: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC equipment service, and appliances.
