Projects will also identify population bottlenecks, including the influence of habitats and species interactions, and evaluate restoration actions. These projects may involve experimental fish stocking, sampling early life stages, experimental habitat manipulations, and managing remote data collection systems (e. g. acoustic telemetry, video, and data loggers). The candidate must complete required training, follow safety procedures, and adhere to fundamental science practices.
In the field, the candidate will participate in or lead collaborative teams comprised of tribal scientists, federal technicians, student contractors, and other partners. The candidate will be expected to trailer and operate boats up to 26 ft long and process biological and habitat samples in the laboratory.
