Design, operate and interface with bench top reactors to evaluate novel catalyst formulations. Synthesize novel catalyst formulations for reducing toxic emissions from internal combustion engines. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: The candidate will be expected to perform the following: Lead development of new and innovative concepts to utilize catalysts and emission control systems to enable improved
fuel efficiency and/or reduced criteria pollutant emissions from internal combustion engines. Manage and execute projects in the area of heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis to support internal combustion engine research and development.
Develop test plans to evaluate new hardware or identify fundamental interactions of feed gas stream and catalytic devices. Conduct laboratory testing involving bench test facilities and comprehensive data analysis to be able to provide clear and concise summaries to clients and/or technical management. Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory and/or facility issues. Requirements: Requires a Bachelors degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
