Work involves a wide range of contract methods including Job Order Contracting (JOC) and Task Order Contracting (TOC), requirements contracts, lump sum contracts, major Military Construction and service contracts. Interprets contract requirements of complex technical nature and establishes contract quality assurance plans to perform surveillance of contractor operations. Coordinates inspection needs with design engineers.
Reads, interprets, and applies general information from operating procedures and policies, referenced technical information, regulatory procedural documentation that are made a part of the contract action.
Visits work sites on a daily basis to inspect work in progress, determine conformance to contract requirements and approved submittals, and to observe safety measures. Receives contractor invoices and recommends payment based on actual work completed, approved progress schedules, deficiencies, and allowable retainage.
