POSITION PURPOSE: This role must be seen as a trusted advisor and partner across all business units and functions to establish Master Data related strategies, organization, policies, and procedures in support of American Woodmark's Oracle-related Digital Transformation.
Primary responsibilities include the creation of a comprehensive master data management function across the enterprise, which includes developing and deploying master data policies and practices, establishing and monitoring key operational metrics, and continuously improving master data management services through documentation, training, and audits to ensure optimal data quality.
The role will lead a matrix team of resources in the delivery of these critical master data management services to ensure effective operations of ERP and other mission critical enterprise systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Create a Data Management & Governance strategy aligned with company priorities and financial goals. Establish an MDM & Governance organization/community, including Process Owners, Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Governance Boards & Councils. Establish Standardized data models for relevant data domains to ensure master data completeness and accuracy are maintained at a high level of quality. Drive adoption of processes and tools relating to Master Data Change Management (e. g. Engineering Change Notification -- ECN) across core enterprise systems. Establish metrics and align scorecards to raise the transparency of data quality across the enterprise.
Supervisory Responsibilities: IT Data Analysts will report directly to this position. This position typically leads a matrix organization of IT Analysts, Data Owners, and Data Stewards.
