actively seeking Field Biologist's to support our environmental consulting practice across the West on an on-call basis. West Land specializes in the technical and procedural requirements necessary for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Clean Water Act, and the Endangered Species Act.
Our biological resources practice includes: development of natural resources management plans; conducting ecological investigations and base-line studies; and mitigation planning, design and implementation. Departmental Support What qualifications are required for this role?
Bachelor's degree in a Biologically orientated field. Advanced degree strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience with field-oriented investigations and managing field crews. Excellent communication skills. Ability to navigate physically in various environment including those with exposure to extreme temperatures and rough terrain. Experience in the Western United States strongly preferred. Working knowledge of relevant biological permitting processes also preferred, as is an endangered species survey permit.
