Job Summary Performs acquisition including system test analysis, system testing, general test support, quality assurance testing, hardware testing, configuration management, and system and software process improvement. Telework is not supported. Travel is not required. Responsibilities and Duties Provides system engineering expertise to the weapon system and weapon control systems
test and evaluation efforts. This support shall include test planning, test development, and test execution in the WSCI Lab, at land-based test sites, or onboard ships.
Provide capabilities in integrated T&E management, planning, and coordination teams, and provide defining and evaluating Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs)/Measures of Performance MOPs/Measures of Suitability (MOSs), and mission-level Test Objectives (TOs). Reviews and analyze test plans, test specifications, test procedures, and test results for compliance with higher-level requirements, physical models, and operational fleet guidance and tactics. Review and develop Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) that document
the recovery actions, mitigations, and workarounds for problems and issues based on open Test/Trouble Observations Reports (TORs) and Computer Program Change Requests (CPCRs), as well as Initial Checkout and Operation (INCO) lessons learned.
Provide systems engineering analysis, evaluation, and development of Targeting/Mission Planning Models and Simulations. Collect and import system test results and other supporting test analysis data into the SVM in DOORS to support system test activities. Generate and maintain regular updates of the SVM and provide the updates, Provide systems engineering expertise for system requirements familiarity and awareness sessions with system test personnel to ensure new system enhancements and capabilities are clearly understood and adequately tested.
Participate in the generation and testing of system requirements status, tactical hardware configuration, and metrics data for readiness reviews and backssments to include Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and other System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) event activities. Provide technical information and engagement in the maintenance of the WSCI Lab's supporting programs to ensure they are equivalent to the configurations for all fleet-deployed system platforms. Qualifications and Skills Required knowledge and years of experience Must have at least nine (9) years of System Test Experience in real-time Weapon Systems development or test and evaluation.
Must have experience with test and evaluation strategies, statistical analysis of data, and engineering tools. Demonstrated understanding of concepts related to system performance testing and methods of system test design. Experience with process development, management, and implementation (such as the Software Engineering Institutes Capability Maturity Model Integration process). Experience with Configuration Management (CM) processes and Configuration Control Board (CCB) support.
Experience with the use of simulations in a test environment.
