Cancer Institute and Radiation Oncology team. Come find out what all the buzz is about! SIGN-ON BONUS AND RELOCATION ELIGIBLE FOR NEW HIRES Position Summary St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI) is seeking an RN to join the radiation oncology team in a float position.
The float RN position will support the radiation and medical oncology triage team and provide back-up coverage as a primary RN for radiation oncology and medical oncology. This position may require limited travel to other Treasure Valley SLCI sites to support the team if primary RN coverage is needed. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to manage complex patients by coordinating care, following up after
appointments, and educating patients and their families. This position is responsible for backssing patient needs over the phone and in person. Excellent critical thinking and backssment skills will be required to evaluate patients of all ages receiving radiation and medical oncology treatment.
This RN is a keystone to the complex, high-quality, compassionate care that Idaho has come to expect of our organization. It will be essential to promote a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude both in the clinic and through the triage process to aid those living with cancer and their families. This
RN will be integral to our radiation oncology patient’s care, starting from diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end of life.
To be successful in this role, an oncology background is helpful. This is a full-time position, 0.9 FTE. 8-hour shift x 9 days per two week pay period. Note: This position can be broken into two positions if seeking part-time employment. The Cancer Institute is closed on weekends and St. Luke’s recognized holidays.
