our Antepartum team! SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE! RELOCATION AVAILABLE! Occasionally pregnancy presents risks that must be monitored and cared for over an extended period of hospitalization. Care for pregnant women and their families who are experiencing these complications while pregnant is done by specially trained nurses on our Antepartum unit.
This is the place where patients know they are the center of the healthcare team, and long term care relationships are developed and nurtured. Our small unit of dedicated nurses work in partnership with our Maternal Fetal Medicine doctors as well with our Family Practice Residency physicians. Together we work to provide state of the art medical
management and expertise in high risk backssment and care. Because of these relationships, those who have stayed on Antepartum through pregnancy often request to return after delivery for their postpartum care.
Our nurses accommodate these requests as often as possible because of the vested bond they also feel toward these patients they have cared for. Families and friends are welcome and encouraged to visit and support these patients. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient's needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care
through backssment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going backssments.
Initiates backssment based on the patient's problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
