- 104393 Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Factory Automation Engineer for Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, Iowa , you will: Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope through the use of automation.
Design/update/support electrical systems and Auto CAD prints for machines or shop floor tooling and equipment. Design/update/support human machine interfaces (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs for machines or shop floor systems. Develop and support shop floor and data visualization solutions, such as machine metric displays and production status dashboards. Review Requests for Quotes
for new or modified equipment with low to moderate complexity and ensures FA standards are followed.
Develops Bill of Materials for projects and gathers quotes from suppliers for small to medium projects. What Skills You Need 3 or more years in Engineering field (Electrical, Controls, Computer, etc. ). Have a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge 3 or more years in PLC, PC, and Structured Query Language (SQL) programming and the engineering tools required.
Perform more complex functions, understand principles, and may teach others 3 or more years electrical design and the codes, common practices, and engineering tools required 3 or more years of MES solutions (SAP-MES, AMES, JDAAT, etc. ), mistake proofing of manufacturing processes, and shop floor device connectivity.
