Senior Engineer, Quality
a full range of services that complement our customers’ extensive vehicle engineering capability. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible improving and maintaining product quality systems, develop new solutions to reduce quality overhead, and maintain quality improvements.
Supports overall continual improvement, corrective and preventive action / root cause resolution, new product qualifications, and ISO/IATF16949 QMS systems support. • Coach quality inspectors and production associates on QA/QC procedures and activities. • Meaningfully contributes to or leads cross-functional improvement projects. • Leads 8D/CAPA/RCA for customer and internal production issues. • Prepares and revises AIAG
Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams etc. • Maintain ISO 9001/IATF 16949 based quality management system. • Leads internal audits, support customer and third-party audits.
• Creates and modifies work instructions, quality alerts, etc. • Contribute to the Engineering Changes. • Other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Required • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology required, ASQ certification is a plus; and minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Able to understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications. • APQP and PPAP hands on experience • Understands
principles of metrology and calibration. • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Project Management. • Computer proficiency including MS Office and SPC tools such as Minitab, JASP etc. • Lean Manufacturing experience • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred • Advanced technical degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management preferred. • ISO 9001/IATF 16949 certifications highly preferred • Composites or injection molding experience • ASQ CQE or CSSGB highly preferred Physical Skills and Abilities The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
