ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and effectively communicate Ore Pac’s value proposition to our valued customers. Serve as the subject matter expert for the assigned product category, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets and market share goals. Mature the region’s understanding of customer needs within the category, identifying opportunities for product improvements or new offerings.
Collaborate with the sales team to create and execute plans that drive product penetration and customer acquisition within the assigned category. Provide the General Manager(s) and category Director with a comprehensive quarterly regional demand forecast. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their unique requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction. Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations, and training sessions to promote product knowledge and usage. Lead the implementation of an education series aimed at elevating the category knowledge for the broader sales group in the region.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and effective execution of category strategies. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activities. Work closely with Regional Category Buyers, branch Product Managers, and/or Buyers to review inventory levels and product quality standards. Lead the regional pricing strategy for the segment through a monthly pricing review process.
Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities to senior management. Attend assigned supply chain-related conference calls held throughout the month and provide a detailed summary to the branch leadership and sales teams. Develop customer partnership strategies and review them quarterly. Implement various programs to target and grow incremental business. Provide strategic customer engagement and planning, including product knowledge training, facility tours, roadshows, and events. REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to travel 2-3 days per week throughout the local market area.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, One Note, Word, and Excel). Results-oriented and customer-focused, with strong interpersonal skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Experience using lead tracking services and customer relationship management software such as (preferred). REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in any field. 5-7 years of experience in a sales-focused, supply chain, or related position working with product line oversight and inventory planning and control in a distribution environment. Any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be accepted in place of the education and/or experience requirements listed for this role.
