Responsibilities: Provide support to coordinate, track, and execute general facility management functions
for the DMOC building (B942) IAW local directives. The primary role for this requirement is to provide direct support to Government Facility Managers (GFMs), otherwise known as the Facility Managers, in the care, management, and protection/safeguarding of applicable DMOC work areas and their assets (i.
e. systems, simulators, computers, hardware, software, technical data, etc. Facility management encompasses the following activities: Environment and safety concerns (including Fire Safety), Security and safeguarding of access control systems, locks etc. Routine/responsive maintenance, testing and inspections to ensure safe and effective operations, and Workspace and structural maintenance
(including preventive, remedial, and proactive upgrades) Track, maintain, and store all available facility documentation, including diagrams that pertain to the construction or maintenance of the building, in the consolidated DMOC library and associated share drive.
Documentation includes, but is not limited to, floor plans, power distribution, fire suppression layout, plumbing, wiring diagrams, Auto CAD designs, and network diagrams. In accordance with generally accepted safety standards such as those established by OSHA, provide, consultation support to GFMs regarding the general safety of the DMOC Battlespace and Development Space (Dev Space). Through inspection/observation and identify safety hazards (both potential and real) and notify GFMs as soon as possible.
Monitor the effectiveness of various facility systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (e. g. chillers, air handlers, CRAC units, HVAC, etc. ), electrical (e. g. lighting, breakers PDUs), simulators. On a monthly basis, report significant or noteworthy findings, related to operability and function, to GFMs. Any critical issues or deficiencies (real or potential) shall be reported to the GFM as soon as possible. Provide consultation regarding the integrity of workspaces and infrastructure in the DMOC Battlespace and Dev Space.
Consultation shall include suggestions related to preventive, remedial, and proactive upgrades to applicable workspaces and/or structures. Assist the GFM in routinely monitoring relevant temperature and environmental conditions in the DMOC Battlespace Dev Space. The DMOC currently utilizes Watch Dog hardware (sensors) and software for climate monitoring. Work with GFMs in the planning and support of execution of all maintenance activities (including upgrades) to ensure minimal impact to facility availability/operability. Along with the GFM, shall provide escorts for Base maintenance personnel (i.
e. CE, etc. ) throughout the building, including classified and unclassified portions of the building. Note that SCIF areas will require involvement of specific government security personnel. Assist the GFM or other appropriate government personnel, in executing contingency procedures (e. g. HVAC, water, and power shutdown). Warehouse Operations: receive, track, inventory, and manage DMOC classified and unclassified physical and software assets. Facilitate all shipping and receiving efforts for the DMOC. Government shall wrap classified shipments.
Required to notify the government when shipments of equipment and software are received. Shall log new hardware/software in DMOC system of record to be put either in the library or stored in the warehouse. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
