Session Dates: April 26 May 16 June 6 June 7 June 13 June 20 July 11 July 18 August 1 August 9 August 15During the sessions, Orientation Leaders will be expected to present workshops, assist students with campus technology (including the registration process in SIS), relay information about campus policies and procedures, give tours of campus, and other various tasks to address new student success.
Extra Events: There are a number of additional events that the Orientation Leaders are expected to work. These typically take place from the end of August into the first few weeks of classes of the fall semester. These events include the My Flint events, Wolverine Welcome, Move-in Day, Individualized Tours, and others as they arise. If an Orientation Leader's fall classes conflict with any of these events, an exception can be made.
Continuing Communication: During and through the fall semester, Orientation Leaders will continue to reach out to our new students. This will be similar to the Early Communication program, but focused on following up with the students to address their immediate and future needs for success.
