Promotes and maintains a safe and calm environment for complex patients by ensuring appropriate supplies, equipment, and necessary services.
Assists in making clinical decisions based on scientific principles, systematic approach and experience. Assists in identifying actual and potential risk to patients and/or families and assists in initiating appropriate action to minimize risk. Administers medications and treatments/procedures as directed,

Distributes incoming reports to providers. Communicates results and reports of tests to patient as directed by provider.
Contributes to the learning experience of students and staff by modeling competent nursing practice. Demonstrates understanding of nursing and its issues and represents the profession to others. Actively participates in clinic meetings, committees, conferences, and in-services. Recognizes and communicates issues/occurrences utilizing established lines of authority and assists in identifying ways to resolve variances or unacceptable outcomes. What we are looking for: Must be a registered nurse maintaining current state licensure. A minimum of one to two years nursing experience preferred. Basic Life Support Certification (BCLS) is required unless doctor's release is provided. Demonstrates the skill level requirement for a Registered Nurse-Triage as evidenced by competent performance and completion of the skills checklist. Is able to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team. Maintains a high level of professionalism, which positively promotes the image of Mercy One.
