This is a PERMANENT Maintenance Worker position with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobility and Security located at Fort Jackson, SC. Duties Fabricate range and training support devices such as barricades, firing point, and target identification stakes and signs, target frames, target panels, moving target tracks, and other training devices not characterized as training aids.
Install rafters, studs, sills, plates, braces, joists, floors, subfloors, panels (including sheetrock and plywood), siding, sheathing, roofing, building paper, insulating materials, door and window frames and interior and exterior trim. Perform routine maintenance on stationary infantry targets (SITs) and Stationary
Armor Targets (SATS), as well as other target variations utilized on ranges. Repair wooden and metal structures such as warehouses, storage sheds, range target houses, control towers, latrine buildings, maintenance sheds, and other related range support facilities.
Repair and/or replace wooden, plastic, and cardboard targets. Paint sheds, flag poles, rubbish cans, ammunition tables, signs, barricades, land markers, range markers and other similar structures and items used on ranges where a fine finish is not required. Operate tractors, mowers, weed trimmers and other driven or hand operated machinery to maintain a safe, professional appearance and operational use of ranges and training

Working Conditions: Works primarily outside, in dirt, dust and mud. Is sometimes required to make repairs and installations outside in windy or cold weather. Is required to wear and/or use protective clothing and equipment in accordance with established health and safety regulations and SOP's. Exposed to dangers of live fire ranges, pyrotechnics, laser frequencies and explosives. May be exposed to sulfuric acid when handling batteries used in operating remote controlled target devices. Job Responsibilities • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized • Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned • Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition; reports any issues to management • Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers,

What You Will Do Build and maintain effective relationships with all Operations Leadership to ensure that all are working towards the same vision and goal.
Direct the supervision of all plant maintenance functions involving equipment, buildings, and systems, to include electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pipe fitting, and welding. Work with Reliability to develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies. Help monitor all equipment downtime to determine root cause. Oversee planning and scheduling of
maintenance activities to maximize availability of equipment and meet specific needs of the plant. Help develop capital strategy and oversee maintenance purchasing for facility to ensure mill success.
Apply knowledge of new, innovative technologies available, industry trends and development to improve operations. Ensure all assigned workers, including contractors, are performing their tasks safely, productively, and in full compliance will all applicable regulations and policies. backss employee performance, including technical skills and knowledge and develop technical competencies accordingly. Support communication and commitment to all our Team Members utilizing our PBM philosophy.
Train in GP work processes and gain a thorough understanding of the MP2 maintenance management system.
Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving daily problems. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) High school diploma or GED. Eight (8) or more years of maintenance experience, in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment. Five (5) or more years of maintenance supervisory experience. Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination. Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis or other problem-solving tools. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Experience with Microsoft Office What Will Put You Ahead Associate's degree or higher.
