Group specializes in providing wastewater facility operations & maintenance services for clients in the industrial and private sector. Job Summary We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Craftsman Technician. U. S. Water's Industrial Group operates treatment plants for its customers throughout the US.
Each customer site is operated by an offsite project manager who works with a dedicated onsite Lead Operator and site operations team. This team is responsible for monitoring processes, adjusting controls, performing laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, replenishing chemicals, and maintaining good housekeeping. As part of the maintenance team, the Craftsman Technician completes
a variety of maintenance tasks across our facilities. Primary Responsibilities Performs scheduled routine preventative maintenance on plant equipment - pumps, blowers, motors.
This includes tearing down and rebuilding equipment. Performs non-routine system upgrades and process improvements. This includes removal of old equipment, installation of new equipment and machinery. Experience with PVC, HDPE pipework preferred. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills. Applies a working knowledge of fundamental principles, terminology, and methodology in carrying out assignments. Understands and applies standard policies and procedures within specific discipline. Performs assignments with clear,
specific objective which may require the limited exercise of judgment and decision-making skills.
Digs, spreads, and level dirt and gravel using picks, shovel and/or grading equipment. Lifts and carries building materials, tool & supplies. Cleans tools, equipment, materials, and work areas Performs a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools, such as sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing projections from concrete, mounting pipe hangers and cutting and attaching insulation material. May operate a variety of the following types of equipment: jackhammer, generator, sand blaster, concrete mixer, grinders, compressors, saws, tampers, pumps etc.
