This position is part of a team of Lift Maintenance Technicians (mechanics) responsible for training of more junior maintenance technicians, daily lift operation troubleshooting, required maintenance and repairs/rebuilds. This position has a broad scope of responsibilities & requirements, including but not limited to: Performs routine mechanical maintenance to maintain lifts at Winter Park Resort to meet the requirements as regulated by the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board (CPTSB), United States Forest Service (USFS), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), lift manufacturers and insurance carriers.
Builds and installs modifications as per Winter Park Resort needs in compliance with CPTSB, USFS, ANSI, lift manufacturers and insurance carriers. Performs daily pre-operational lift start-up inspections required to ensure lifts are safe and ready to run each day.
Trains assigned personnel in the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems. Diagnoses and repairs lift breakdowns as they occur, to minimize lift downtimes during operating hours. Operates shop equipment and power hand tools both in the shop and on mountain in the repair and maintenance of lifts. Coordinate with Manager to maintain adequate parts and supplies inventory. Assists Lift Maintenance Manager in conducting performance evaluations, discipline, and termination, following Winter Park Resort HR policies and procedures. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma or GED. Must possess a valid unrestricted Colorado Driver's License. front-end loaders and building equipment. Maintains DEI (Daily Equipment Inspections) backlog.
Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and advises Sr. Plant Maintenance Manager if additional work is needed, or cannot be completed within the Standard Repair Times (SRTs). Inspects the quality of third party repairs and or rebuilds. Recommends measures to improve production, equipment performance and product quality Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities. Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns. Ability to perform under limited supervision. Requires a flexible work schedule, which may include nights and weekends to support operating schedule and the needs of the facility.
