DESCRIPTION Michael Baker International is seeking a Technical Consultant I for our Charleston, West Virginia group. This individual will consult with clients or management on a specific area of technical expertise to define needs or problems, conduct studies and surveys to obtain data and analyze complex data to advise on recommended solutions. Consults with clients to define technical needs or problem areas and
determine scope of investigation required to obtain solutions. Review technical submittals for accuracy and completeness Analyze complex data to determine proposed solutions such as installation of alternate methods and procedures, changes in processing methods and practices, modification of machines or equipment or redesign of products or services.
With guidance from management, advise and present findings to clients and engineers on alternate methods of solving technical needs or problems and recommend solutions PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree in Technical Field or related field is required. 10-15 years of experience Familiarity with Department of Defense, government,
client, and industry local codes, regulations, and standards governing design and construction projects is a plus Possess the ability to work collaboratively with other interfacing multi-disciplinary team members (i.
e. managers, electrical and mechanical engineers, and architects) Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills COMPENSATION The compensation range for this position will be dependent upon the incoming candidate's experience level.
