Qualifications • Experience working in a manufacturing environment. • Understand how to work safely. • Experience with different areas of maintenance including welding, electrical, hydraulics, steam, pneumatics and machining.
• Knowledge of PLC computer programming, robotics, and related electronics is a plus. • Candidates must have their own tools. • Must be able to work weekends when needed. • Overtime, when applicable, is mandatory, either a 10 hour or 12 hour shift. • High School diploma or G. E. D. is required.
Performs maintenance, installation, and repair of various electrical systems or equipment throughout the facility including motors, relays, conduit, cable, switches, lighting fixtures. Locates, diagnoses, and repairs problems in the electric system. May install, test and repair HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Inspects and tests electrical lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits and equipment. Isolates defects in wiring, switches, and motors and examines and tests distribution panels, controls, circuit fixtures and motors to locate obvious faults such as blown fuses, short circuits, broken wires, loose connections, and worn motor brushes. Leading, supervising, and directing
assigned staff to work schedules. Repairs electrical circuits and equipment. Replaces faulty switches, sockets, plugs, and insulators. Renew's circuits, dismantle electrical machinery, and replaces defective mechanical parts such as gears, bushings, and bearings, and related electrical parts such as brushes, armatures, and transformers.
Moves and transports heavy equipment, tools, and supplies to the work site. Stores equipment in designated areas and assists in maintaining the security of equipment and materials. Maintain clean and orderly work site. May train and lead lower-level staff in the performance of their duties. Estimates and orders supplies needed to complete assignments.
Maintains records pertaining to assignments. Performs related duties as required (e.
g. assisting with floods and snow emergencies. Assignments are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with Medical Center standards to insure that the facility’s maintenance program is carried out.
