Cleaning around the houses and all other buildings, ditches, fence rows, maintaining right-of-ways and controlling weeds. Supervise and assist in the cleaning of parking lots, and outdoor recreational areas. Supervise and be the direct contact for the Inmate Program at Sunland. Assign inmates to various areas and to other Sunland supervisors and or staff. Supervise and assist the groundskeepers on the houses
in ensuring the housing areas are kept cleaned and sanitized.
This is to include but not limited to bedrooms, dayrooms, kitchen area, dining area and laundry room, etc. on a daily and on-going basis. Supervise and assist in moving furniture and equipment, load; unload trucks with furniture, and building materials such as couches, chairs, boxes, lumber general supplies, etc. Assist other trades and staff with labor to complete task such as digging ditches, lay pipe, and pull wire, load material. Any labor task to keep Sunland running on a daily and on-going basis. Operating and maintaining a preventative maintenance program on all the equipment assigned to the groundskeeping crew.
This is to include but not limited to trucks, tractors, lawn mowers, bush hogs, floor cleaning equipment etc. Schedule all work in relationship to groundskeeping duties. Complete and process work orders and maintain tool control and tool control logs. Conduct quarterly performance reviews and annual appraisals on all subordinate employees according to established policy. Train employees in methods for performing effective and efficient jobs needed to accomplish groundskeeping tasks. Assist in eliminating ants, bees, wasp, and other insects as needed per supervisor center wide.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Complete all assigned staff training deemed mandatory.
