not present. Complete food safety tasks associated with production protocols. Complete quality tasks associated with production protocols. Assist with pulling product off of the line and warehousing. Pull samples of product, both prior to packaging, and throughout the run, and run analysis on samples on equipment located in mill control room.
Perform Metal Detector checks on a scheduled basis set by the quality department and notify supervisor of any substandard conditions. Keep bags available and ready to be used, including bags labeled for special customers. Attach labels to bags as necessary. Clean and sanitize all packing and loading areas (including hopper area above packers). Feed
any product that did not meet specifications back into the system to rework. Assist in the training of new and existing personnel in any packaging functions/positions.
PRODUCTION UTILTIY OPERATOR QUALIFICATIONS: On-the-job training is provided. Safety training is required and provided by the company in group settings, as well as individual computer-based training. Possess excellent interpersonal skills, multitask, and able to read and write in English. Ability to work unsupervised. Available to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and shift work may be required. WORKING CONDITIONS: This position requires physical efforts such as straining, pulling, lifting, working, and standing and
walking on concrete floor. Exposure to elements such as noise, minable dust, cold and hot temperatures.
Extreme climate or climate variation. Work in heat in excess of 100 degrees potentially below freezing. Exposure to manufacturing equipment hazards, especially forklifts. Climbing of ladders. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
