Engage in workforce planning, maintaining
an awareness of workforce demographics, bench strength and operational requirements.
Develop strategies to address workforce gaps and surpluses and proactively work to optimize talent. Partner with business leaders to backss organizational design. Provide guidance on organization structure, opportunities to re-engineer roles and responsibilities, and workforce needs. Lead talent management activities in partnership with business leaders. Guide performance management program, provide coaching/counseling on individual development plans and career development, and facilitate the succession planning process. Develop and implement strategies to address employee concerns and cultivate a positive work environment. Essential Functions: First line contact for Sales and Customer Support. Assuming the role of project leader and technical problem solver teaming with cross-functional partners including other TSR's, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain. Support Sales both verbally and with direct involvement at key current or prospective customers by conducting
tests of our products petitive products. Prepare food products using Bunge products for customer demonstrations and competitive product cuttings.
Train the sales force and customers on the features, benefits, advantages and product use for Bunge product lines. Provide training, troubleshooting and product knowledge. to our current and prospective customers. Support Sales and QA in resolving product complaints at key customers. Supports R&D product development efforts by providing practical applications testing and evaluations of new/improved products. Being actively involved in innovation/customer solutions including process development, product formulation, design of unique unit operations and plant start-ups.
Fully documents all project formulas and testing results. Provides guidance on shelf life and sensory testing plans in accordance with the distribution and customer requirements of the product. Works with Engineering to understand and define process needs and capabilities as they relate to the targeted production line. Partners on plant testing and startup preparation. Effectively communicates verbally and in writing to stakeholders as appropriate. Attends and support daily team meetings and food and ingredient reviews during testing. Works with Packaging support personnel to coordinate testing as it relates to packaging material/food interactions, pack fit and distribution.
Assists Quality and Operations in establishing the Quality parameters, specifications and supporting process documentation. Works with cross functional teams to refine/optimize the process, reduce cost of goods, and resolve quality issues Skills/Experience Requirements: Position prefers Bachelor of Science degree in science or related field with 12 years of related experience OR a Master of Science degree in Food Science or related field with 8-10 years of experience.
Position requires a minimum of four years of hands-on bakery/snack food shortening, margarine and oil product experience including in-depth understanding of applications. Travel to and work in manufacturing or test facilities is typically required up to 50% percent of the time. International travel includes developing countries with exposure to additional stress relating to food, health and safety risks, and prolonged time away from home. Also, projects frequently require working beyond the normal workday hours, shift work, and on weekends. Operation of process equipment may be necessary.
