Nurse Educator Specialist you would be responsible for backssing, developing, conducting and evaluating educational programs and activities for Patient Care Services. You would also participate in nursing research projects, evidence-based practice (EBP) projects, administrative functions, community education and health promotion activities.
All while maintaining relationships with unit managers and providing direction and guidance to other education staff. This position will be responsible for the orientation of new graduate nurses, focusing on policy and process implementation as well as backssment and documentation proficiency, admission and discharge, time management, and skills proficiency.
Medical Surgical highly recommended. Three years of direct patient care experience in the role of a registered nurse required. Experience in nursing education desirable.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required. Certification in a clinical area or in Staff Development desirable.
