This is a low-volume, highly-engineered manufacturing environment, and you’d be involved in the full life cycle of the build.
Additionally, you’ll get to work in a safe, clean, and highly-specialized environment alongside a great team of skilled colleagues while honing niche machining skills and advancing your craft. Our machine shop includes twelve large horizontal and vertical machining centers (up to 25-feet turning and 300-ton table capacity) and six small
machining centers with CNC mills and lathes. In addition to rewarding work, our machinists work a four-day workweek and receive market-leading wages; paid time off; a paid winter holiday shutdown; medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options; and service-based retirement contributions with additional 401k match.
Overtime is required, but we are flexible in how it is achieved. Additional overtime work is also available, if desired. Our machinists receive a shift premium for second shift work (4:00 PM to 2:30 AM) and premium pay like double time based on hours/days worked in a week. applicants. What You’ll Do In this role, you will set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to perform various types of machining operations, such as milling, drilling, tapping, boring, and turning in order to meet print specifications.
Additionally, you would: Use precision measuring equipment to verify products meet customer requirements and product specifications Work to ±0.001” tolerance and 16 microfinish when necessary Write/edit programs using both G and M coded controls (experience with Siemens and Fanuc controls preferred) Troubleshoot challenges with support of on-site engineering Routinely read and comprehend written instructions, technical procedures, prints, sketches, and bills of material Work in a team environment by assisting the CNC Programmer as necessary to develop and/or test run programs Use advanced mathematical skills to calculate proper speed and feed rates Work in accordance with all applicable company procedures, policies and rules What We Need from You To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the skills necessary to safely and effectively complete required tasks.
