The role requires a deep understanding of various fund structures, including hybrid, open-end, high-net-worth (HNW), aftercare, umbrella, management fee, and GP lines across corporate credit, private equity, real estate, and other investment funds.
Duties: Provide legal counsel and support in fund finance matters, specifically in NAV-based and subscription credit facilities. Represent clients in negotiations with borrowers, agents, lead arrangers, and lenders involved in fund finance transactions. Navigate and offer guidance on various fund
structures, including hybrid, open-end, HNW, aftercare, umbrella, management fee, and GP lines. Conduct legal due diligence, draft and review legal documents, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to address legal issues and provide strategic advice. Requirements:6 years of experience in fund finance, focusing on subscription line credit facilities and NAV-based facilities. Proven track record of representing clients in a law firm setting, with preference given to those with experience in large law firms. Familiarity with collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
